Let me start you off with a quick story. I purchased my first home a few years back and I was looking for a local real estate agent. I had asked around and got a few referrals from friends and family. Three of the four agents I was communicating with were using free email accounts with Gmail and Hotmail. Can you guess who I hired? You can bet it was the agent using they’re domain name for email. If those other agents were cutting corners with something like email, where else were they going to cut corners? In other words, as a small business owner or blogger, you always want to put your best foot forward or you could get left behind.

Let me start by explaining why those email addresses are free. Google and Yahoo did not get as big as they are by search engines alone. I like to say they give those free email accounts away like popcorn. As a result, this has been and is a fantastic way for them to promote their brand over the years.
